Cuvee dei Vignato '18Durella is an unfamiliar grape, roughly meaning "tough" or "durable", likely in reference to the thick skins. It really finds its home in volcanic soils, which happen to be in Verona where this sparkling wine is made. Fine bubbles, salty, fresh, vibrant, crunchy fresh bread, chalk and red apples. Bone dry, Laser like acidity. Chisled. Chalky. Elegant. The sparkling wines of Verona are well worth seeking out, but aren't around often (or for long).
