A Pair of Copper Foundry CruciblesA pair of wonderfully patinated copper Foundry Crucibles from Northern England. Mid 20th Century. The crucibles were originally used for holding, heating and pouring molten metals. Their highly textured ceramic surface is reminiscent of cooled lava stone, punctuated by a variegated coloured patination of natural earth ores.
